| The current premises was previously a leather gloves manufacturing factory. In 1992, a local resident of Yarraville bought the premises and set up the first cafe called Gloves Cafe. This business survived for 2 years and was subject to new ownership in 1994. Newly named the place 'Worth Eating Food Store'. Cafe Fidama started from 1996 and the name of the new cafe was derived from the past three owners. Since Mark Cohen took over during early 2001, this casual and modest restaurant has emerged as a fine addition to Melbourne's bistros.
